Geordie Ting

Geordie is a third year Chemical Engineer at Clare College.
He is interested in sustainable renewable technologies and the formulation of energy policies. He has previously worked at Climate Change Capital, an investment manager specialising in the global transition to a low carbon economy. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors and playing different sports.

Krista Kemppinen

Picture
Krista is a 2nd year PhD student in Earth System Modelling at Wolfson. She spends her days running simulations on Darwin, the University's High Performance Computing Service's supercomputer, to investigate the causes of atmospheric CO2 change over the last glacial-interglacial cycle.

She is passionate about climate change, science and science communication. She has previously worked with institutes and organizations in different parts of the world on issues relating to climate change.

Antara Banerjee

Picture
Tara is a 2nd year PhD student at Wolfson college. Her PhD explores a range of mechanisms coupling chemistry and climate in the atmosphere. Most recently, she has been modelling the separate and combined impacts of ozone-depleting substances, ozone precursor emissions and climate change over the coming century. She is an animal-lover and hopes we can preserve this earth for the sake of the species living on it.

Alan Bowman

Alan is a third year Natural Scientist at Caius college. Specialising in Physics, Alan is very interested in potential solutions to climate change using technology. Other environmental interests include conservation (especially rainforests)  and renewable energies. In his spare time Alan is a passionate musician.

Nele Dieckmann

Picture
Nele is a first year PhD student in Immunology from Wolfson. She spends her working days in the pleasant company of killer T-cells to investigate the protein machinery that these key players of the human immune system need to fight off viral infections. Outside of the lab numerous hiking trips have taken her to a great many beautiful places on this planet and she hopes that these will stand a chance to remain intact for many years to come.



Jocelyne Sze

Picture
Jocelyne is a first year BioNatSci from Peterhouse and hails from the tropical island of Singapore. She is passionate about biodiversity conservation and interested in all things environmental. She has recently started a Nature Society in the University of Cambridge, and is an avid rock climber and outdoor enthusiast. She hopes that more people will care more about this earth that we all live on and start acting on climate change!
